È on line l’ultimo numero della rivista fondata da Giorgio Avezzù, Silvia Bigliazzi e Alessandro Serpieri. La parte monografica, a cura di Bigliazzi, indaga la trasposizione della metrica della tragedia greca nel teatro inglese in azione di età moderna. Sono qui raccolti gli esiti del progetto di ricerca PRIN Classical Receptions in Early Modern English Drama (2017, Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Straniere, Università di Verona).

Nella sezione miscellanea Fabio Ciambella conduce un’analisi linguistica su otto manoscritti del XVI e XVII secolo, mai indagati prima, relativi alla pratica della danza presso gli Inns of Court di Londra. Il contributo di Leonardo Mancini è incentrato sulla performance solista El Romancero de Edipo, ideata da Eugenio Barba insieme all’attore spagnolo Toni Cots, andata in scena in diversi paesi tra il 1984 e il 1990. Eleonora Fois e Daniela Francesca Virdis comparano i copioni e le trascrizioni delle due commedie The Laramie Project di Moisés Kaufman (2000) e Fleabag di Phoebe Waller-Bridge (2013) esplorando la funzione performativa di omissioni o aggiunte.

Nella sezione speciale sono utili le approfondite recensioni di pubblicazioni recenti cui si aggiungono gli studi sui festival teatrali del 2021 di Siracusa, Verona e Edimburgo.
